SIMONA’S 2nd BIRTHDAY

Finally we got to give Simona a decent birthday party!

It was held at Tosario’s Cafe function room in Rowville and we had an Entertainer character “Moana” to entertain the kids and adults!  Face painting.. balloon twisting.. games and the kids enjoyed themselves.  Maui was also prancing around the floor (dad Ray dressed up for some party fun).

Finger food was catered … pizza..prawn twists.. chips.. calamari … springrolls …chicken satay and the grammies made a few desserts for the cake table.

The 4 hours flew by and everyone had enough to eat and drink and although it took 2yrs to have this party (thanks to covid) Simona was robbed of her lst and I reckon we made up for it with this party!!

GRANDPA LEFT US 18/2/2021

Dedicated to Eva and Simona

This is for the girls when they grow up and do not know much about their grandpa.

Hopefully the girls will get to know a bit more about him through this brief blog that I am going to put together for them.

Eva was just under 3 when kong kong suddenly passed on.  Her fond memories of kong kong is that he always bought her sour plums..kitty kats and chocolate milk.

Simona is only months old and will not remember kong kong but she had last cuddles from kong kong when we were at Secret Garden yum cha! We have a pix somewhere for Simona = check with Becky.

Grandpa was born in Sungei Petani to a family of 11 and he was the baby and parents were tin miners.

He studied in SP and then went to live in Penang after his parents passed away… then moved down to KL to persue further studies and ended up in UK to do Accountancy.

A few words to describe grandpa would be he was a very kind generous patient man that loved his family very much besides his stamp collection and good food!

Grandpa’s departure was sudden and his funeral service was intimate with close friends only as there was covid restrictions in place of attendees.

If he is still alive I know he would spoil the both of you so much.  So Eva and Simona - always know kong kong loves you from heaven and if you want to be with him in spirit, just go to the rosebush to say hello!!

We hope you are resting peacefully wherever you are in heaven and looking down on us…. gone but never forgotten!

GIRLIES FIRST SNOW TRIP TO MT BAW BAW

15/7/2022
It actually snowed on our way up to Mt Baw Baw and it was so pretty and magical… IYKYK how much I miss and love the snow!!!

Eva got stuck into the white stuff the minute she got down from the car and lifted a huge clump of hardened snow.  From that moment on all she wanted was to build a snowman aka Olaf from Disneys Frozen movie.

Her wish came true… someone built it and Eva was happy to add her final touches to it!
Then it was tobogganing but she was not as keen as Simona riding on the plastic board!! Lol

Met up with Lily n family for a short time only so the children did not really have a big play together as they were on a day trip and did not have much time on the slopes.

We had lots of hot chocolate throughout the day and the weather stayed sunny all day.  Lunch at the Valley Restaurant was quite enjoyable but it was packed to the rafters … think visitors were trying to thaw themselves out more than going in there for a good meal and did not mind paying big bucks for crap food just to be warm for a while!!!

All in all it was a short trip but throughly enjoyable as the girls loved it.  Eva asked to go back again and she also enjoyed the accommodation we booked at the foothills.

Some more randoms and will rush this out (publish) otherwise who knows how long it will sit in my draft box!!

(Please note: rough looking as guts as done on my phone)
