We didn’t do much except eat n chatted away but it was so nice to see them again. It’s really ironic cos where they held the wedding ceremony, the venue location was the same as Becky’s when they last visited Melbourne to attend Becky’s wedding back in 2012!!! The Wilows iconic in Melbourne is now called Jisha Gardens.
We met up for Greek nite the day they arrived. Poor Wong’s longest day/night as they touched down at 5am!!! Andre (9yrs old) must have been on adrenaline n excitement to be in Melbourne cos this is his first trip here he held up better than Amanda!! lol
Greek nite at Achilles Tavern
Saturday we met up again for brunch at St Ali’s and the girls got to meet the Wong’s n vice versa. Aunty Amanda spoilt the girls with ang pows and pretty purple (on point) dresses. The girls couldn’t wait to wear them so into the washing it went when we came home and the dresses were on them by dinner time!!
Amanda had to work on Monday but I got to see the boys over brunch again at Code 5 before they left for tree zipping in Belgrave. Andre had the best time and they did 5 rounds but luckily in good weather!!!
We were lucky enough to see them for adhoc lunch at Piatella up in Glenny when they came to return the car and good job Becky was WFH that day. They wanted to experience public transport as part of Andre’s Melbourne experience!
LAST MEET UP AT PIATELLA BEFORE THE WONGSTAS LEFT MELBOURNE
After catch up brunch, they took the train back to the city but unfortunately it encountered technical issues and broke down for 2hours sitting on the tracks at Holmesglen!!! Nap time!?!
All in all, I guess they had a good time. Short but sweet and Amanda got to fall in love with Melbourne again so it was a good trip! (Amanda studied at Melbourne Uni back in da days)
Until we meet again…. stay safe my Wongstas!!!
