The whole week has been wet and weather forecast for the weekend was showers .. wet n cold but what the hack… we defied the odds and made the trip!
Slight drizzles when we arrived but you could tell from the ground it is soaking wet from days before!! Regardless, we found our spot and set up “home” and was able to build a fire so we were already happy campers!!!

What’s camping without a slight injury??? Sop got her ring finger clamped up in between the metal rods when we were dismantling the pop up tent!! Very ouchie!!!
Kukabaras epic singing in the background n waking us up at 5am… it was only an over nighter but good enough to just get away to be one with nature! Plenty of fresh air but was lacking in sunshine. However, the sun started to shine when we were back on the road heading home!
We just chilled around the fire and cooked marshmellow, purple sweet potatoes besides our main meals. It’s amazing how food tastes soooo good when cooked on camp fire!!

We walked down to the river and came back with a bucket of water each for putting out the camp fire. We carried it uphill n must have made a hundred stops along the way back… huffing n puffing!!! That was the most gruelling thing did all weekend!
It was wet n cold but we were both glad we did it as we had an enjoyable weekend regardless of “bad” weather!
