KL Rendezvous x 2 trips of 4N stays (10/4-2023)

After Mabul I headed back to KL for 4 nights before leaving for Bangkok. Always a highlight for me to see the Minzes and after a poshy Chinese dinner at the Ming Room we headed to a private durian party organised by Jason.

The “spoiler Musang King party” was very fulfilling for body mind soul and belly.  I ate till I surrendered!!! Welcome back to KL by Wong n Loh families for lucky me!!!

Next day we went for “Cheng Meng” aka All Souls Day where we commemorate our ancestors and loved ones at the cemetery.

This ritual involves having a “picnic” with all their favourite foods we took with us for them which we eat up when all the prayers are done!

Moved to the Four Points and had NO n LL sleep over with me.

Such a great way to chat da night away and eating does not stop till eyes are closed and it starts when eyes are open!

The start of the Red Skirt School ladies day together with more eating …

SK in her element at Fatty Crab

Met up with my high-school ladies and ended the night at Fatty Crab.  Part owner SC one of my classmates spoiled us with the fattest juiciest crabs cooked to perfection!

14/4 left KL for Bangkok and Langkawi before going back to KL 26/4.  Had my nyonya food.. banana leaf rice… dinner at 94… my childhood diesel mee “Jackson’s”… Wanjo Nasi Lemak… more durian etc etc and met up with some old friends including one from London and that was pretty much KL done for me!

For me KL is only good for eating some all time “staple” favourites and seeing some old friends and to stock up on more local dried prawns and anchovies/ikan bilis for my Nasi Lemak I make when back in Melbourne!
