Eva's Full Moon Luncheon (2/4/2018) 30 Days Old

Time flies when you are having fun...but Eva is a whole new world of fun!! A baby just keeps giving and everyday is packed with unexpected highs and lows!!!

Its a Malaysian/Asian thing to celebrate when the baby turns 30 days old.  Normally we have red eggs, angkoo a malaysian kueh, nasi kunyit and this goes well with chicken curry, are the more traditional dishes.

We did not have a big celebration and it was only close family members to mark this milestone and we had a luncheon at home.

Steamed glutinous tumeric rice aka Nasi Kunyit
Fried mee hoon Lola style
Eva with her red eggs for good luck
Alasim chicken curry with potatoes
Angkoo kueh - glutinuous pastry with sweet bean filling
Made an E for Eva yee sang for prosperity and good health

Pandan sago pudding
The fullmoon spread

Happy and proud grandparents

As usual, there was plenty of food and heaps of leftovers, so everyone took a doggie bag home!
